28 October 2020. Perspective shift can have multiple meanings. Learning to see the world from others' point of view is part of growing up. Learning to see it from a bird's point of view is a bit like being reborn. When Richard Cross started drone photography, he learned that just being higher up is only part of the process. There are things to be seen from the air that are invisible from the ground- land use patterns, regrowth, rewilding, patterns of survival in natural vegetation, where inaccessibility makes grazing difficult, man-made patterns on the land, shorelines from the sea, not from the shore; or from above. It's not just where you look from, but how you see.
A fascinating talk from several perspectives.
