This week we hosted the Match an Image competition with North Berwick club, with a good turnout by members. There were some great images on display. We stormed away in the first round but North Berwick fought valiantly in the second round and it was neck and neck and it came down to the last image played by North Berwick which thankfully we were able to match and snatch the victory! In the end, it was a close call but we won with the final scores being Haddington 34 and North Berwick 32.
John Fowler from Musselburgh Camera Club was the judge for the evening and managed to escape mostly unscathed despite a fair amount of heckling from both sides! John gave critiques on all the images and explained why, when there was a match, he chose the image he thought should receive the bonus point. There was definitely some creative thinking going on with the matching from both teams which John skilfully analysed. Our thanks to John for being such a good sport on the night. All in all it was a fun night which everyone enjoyed, especially coffee/tea and cake at half time.
