Earlier this week we enjoyed an evening at Longniddry Bents - I'd thought there might be kite surfers out in the stiff breeze but they stayed home, as did the chip van. Even so there was plenty of interest to us photographers and the gallery shows some of those taken. Thanks to Damien, Justi, Fran, and Davide for the gallery photos. Thanks also to Damien for the featured image, and also the group shot. The sky before sunset was interesting, although a bank of cloud prevented us seeing the sun as it approached the hills of Fife. Still, there was good light for photos, including as you'll see some interesting long exposures. I bet some will feature in the upcoming season's competitions, and/or show and tells. Talking of which, as summer moves past (hmm, next Monday is the start of meteorological Autumn), we move on from Summer outings, into the new season. So the next meeting will be Tuesday 2nd September (next week!) at 7.30pm in person at the Poldrate. If you're not sure of the door code, ring the bell.
The first evening will include an update on a lookback on the Summer outings, a look at the plan for the year, 5 photos from a couple of members, a review of the Exhibition, and I think Elaine will be talking about a project she's been enjoying. The agenda for the year can be found here. Do please pay your membership if you've not already (forms are here) - and while I'm here, Welcome to our new members, including those joining us from North Berwick.
