Big thanks to Andy for setting a very entertaining Quiz, some great questions in there, entertaining too (I know what not to say as photographer at a vegan wedding, now! ). Still kicking myself for Oxford Circus, Edgebaston, and Neil Armstrong. And that SIM question. The Club welcomed the wit and assistance of Provost John McMillan, who successfully kept us properly scored and handed out appropriate chocolatey prizes. And thank you too, to those who provided the cakes and mince pies - and all the good chat. It was a fun evening. Feature image courtesy of Grace.
Our next meeting is on the other side - 7th January for a zoom (not Poldrate) meeting with a guest speaker - Steven Galvin with 'I Shoot Animals'. Watch out for an email link to Zoom from Grace.
Steven Galvin will be joining us again on 21st January to judge our Monochrome competition - deadline for entries for that is also 7th January 2025, so get your three images in soon, by email to the compsec.
There's been chat on the WhatsApp group lately as to what might be the ideal first proper camera. Various members have chipped in with ideas. Might be an idea to bring your camera along and 'sell the benefits' or complain about its design, sometime, to a meeting ? Camera technology moves fast but the basic needs remain much the same.
Lastly, hope you all have a great holiday, and have much to look forward to in 2025 - both within and without your camera club. Have fun.
