The evening started with Alastair showing us some stunning images of the Hopetoun Monument and from the top of it, with the history surrounding it.
David Y then took us on a tour “The Grill to Inversnecky” a tour of Aberdeen, showing some of the traditional old streets, the docks and artwork from the annual international Art Festival that is transforming the Granite City. A little bit of the Doric language and more wonderful images.
Rudolf then showed us a view from where he lived in North Italy for many years and his travels up the mountains to find the Fire Salamanders that can live up to 50 years, all have unique patterns, and in the fantastic photo selection you could see them as they grow.
After the tea & coffee we enjoyed a journey that Andy B took a number of years ago to The Wave in Utah, the story of managing to get 2 of the twenty passes and collection from the Kanab visitor centre was interesting and his visit provided us with fascinating images of the rock formation, it’s a place that many of us will only see through others photos!
Finishing the evening was Mike who showed us wonderful portraiture, that he had taken in France at the “Fete de St Therese in Eygalieres” based on characters from the 1900 dressed in character - the female bridge player expressions had to be seen to be believed!
