We have a competition deadline coming up - 'Monochrome'. Our Co-CompSec, Mike, sent out the following helpful reminder :
"This is just a reminder that entries for the monochrome competition are due in by midnight on Tuesday 7th January. As always these must be jpg format and named as follows:
monochrome_category number_image title_member number (+n if a new memberthis year).
So for example:
monochrome_cat4_black and white_25xx
Images must be no bigger than 1600 pixels wide and 1200 pixels in height
The categories for this competition are:
1. Composite/conceptual/abstract/artistic/texture/still life
4. Portrait/People/animal portrait
5. Events/Sports/Street/Wildlife behaviour
7. Architecture/Industrial/Structure.
You can enter up to 3 images but no more than 2 of these in any one category.
Please send images by email to the Compsec email address (not WeTransfer). "

We would like to invite you to take a look at our ultimate bird of prey Photography workshop, for photography clubs we are running a new year special offer.
The ultimate bird of prey photography package
The ultimate photography pack is based at different sites around the Rothiemurchus estate in the Cairngorms National Park and allows you to photograph the birds in their natural environments..
This will include the following:
White tailed eagle in a simulated fishing scene over one of our lochs. We will be able to give you 5 attempts to photograph the eagle fishing, flight shots and stationary shots.
Peregrine Falcon or Gyr Falcon flight shots consist of falcon circling and then diving/stooping and then feeding shots plucking food on ground.
Great grey owl in one of the estates forests, which will include flight shots through the forest, stationary shots in trees and a mouse eye view in a simulated hunting shots.
Barn owl in a old farm steading, which will include flight shots, stationary shots and again a mouse eye view hunting shots.
Golden on the hill side in heather, this will consist of flight shots, static shots plus a simulated hunt and feeding.
Goshawk or Harris Hawk in the forest, our goshawk will only be available to photograph from October to February and out side of these months will be replaced with our Harris hawk. You will have opportunities to photograph them in flight through tight spaces in amongst the trees, stationary feeding and on a simulated hunt.

Normal price is £799 per day for up to 6 participant but we are doing a special rate of £799 for up to 12 participants for Photography clubs only."
