One of the photographic highlights of the year for me this year was my first trip to Iceland in May. A good time to go as the weather is (mostly) spring like and the tourists haven’t yet arrived in droves. We spent 2 weeks driving around the ring road and the scenery is a landscape photographers dream with snow capped mountains, waterfalls, glaciers, geysers and gorgeous beaches. The only disappointment was that we were there during the most spectacular aurora event that East Lothian has witnessed for decades, and it was still daylight at 2:00am! If you haven’t been to Iceland you need to put it on your bucket list. Here are a few images to whet your appetite.
