We spent a week in Amsterdam in November, the forecast before leaving home suggested it would be cold. It was even on the sunny days, there was a definite chill.

We stayed near Central station, which gave us easy access to transport. We had been to Amsterdam several times before and wanted to visit other parts of the city and a couple of trips further afield.

So we went to Nord Amsterdam on the ferries, travelled to  Leiden and Hoorn on the train and walked lots, I managed just over 105,000 steps!

Lots of good food, interesting things to see, like any European city, extremely busy at the weekend with the influx of tourists on weekend breaks.
